 Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend

It's almost time for Virginia Beach's Annual Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend. One of the best times of the year! The weather is cooler, the crowds have thinned out and the festival is a great way to end the summer. This will mark the 43rd year of the festival, with the Boardwalk Weekend kicking off on the last Friday in September.  

International Sand Sculpting Championship
September 30th through October 9th
This is a big favorite and has been a main feature of the Neptune Festival since the beginning. Artists from all over the world come to compete and it is simply amazing. This year's championship will run from . The cost for adults is $5, children 12 and under are free win the company of an adult. Make sure to bring your camera and leave yourself time to see all the submissions. 

Art and Craft Show
September 30th through October 2nd
The Neptune Festival Art and Craft Show is a juried art show displaying original handmade work. The tents will line the boardwalk from 18th through 29th Streets and you are free to browse each artist's work at your leisure. From blown glass, sculptures and paintings to original photography and clothes, you will be hard pressed to not find something that you just have to have!

The Grand Parade
October 1st - 11:30am
Arrive early for the parade so you can get good seating, this one draws a crowd! Marching bands, imaginative floats and huge balloons lead the way before King Neptune and his Court make their appearance. The parade is free and open to the public so don't miss it! Atkinson Realty has participated in the parade and with volunteer duties for several years, and even won the Sister City Award for our float in the 2013 Neptune Festival Grand Parade.
